PlantUML add-in for Word 2013

I have used PlantUML for long time in Eclipse and really like this small tool. Today I discovered that  it also has a Word macro. The following steps worked for me on Word 2013.

  1. Download the macro
  2. Double click to open the macro file and follow the installation instruction to place the plantuml.jar and unzip GraphViz to proper directories
  3. Restart word and you should see the PlantUML menu
  4. Add PlantUML code into your word document, remember to enclose them with @startuml and @enduml
  5. Click the “UML.1” button and it will generate the UML diagram in a few seconds (the diagram below was copied from the PlantUML official website)
